1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Renkara Media Group ("Renkara," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use the AccelaStudy® AI application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

This policy applies to all users of the Service worldwide, including users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), the State of California, and all other jurisdictions. Where local laws grant you additional rights, those rights are described in the relevant sections below.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where we rely on consent as a legal basis for processing, we will obtain your explicit consent before collecting or processing your data.

We do not collect precise geolocation data, biometric data, financial account numbers, government-issued identification numbers, or health information.

4. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data only for the purposes described below. For users in the EEA/UK, we identify the lawful basis under GDPR Article 6 for each purpose.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 Mobile Application

The AccelaStudy® AI mobile application does not use browser cookies. We use a device vendor identifier (Device ID) to associate your device with your account and to collect analytics data.

5.2 Website

If you visit our website, we may use:

Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for the website to function (e.g., session management). These do not require consent under ePrivacy rules.
Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with our website. These are only set with your prior consent, in compliance with the ePrivacy Directive.

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or through any cookie consent mechanism presented on our website. Withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies will not affect the functionality of the Service.

5.3 Do Not Track

We honor Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. When we detect a DNT signal, we do not load non-essential tracking technologies.

6. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We share your data with the following third-party service providers, solely for the purposes described. We do not sell your personal data.

Each service provider is bound by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that requires them to process your data only on our instructions and in compliance with applicable data protection law.

6.2 Other Disclosures

We may also disclose your personal data:

Law enforcement requests: In response to a valid subpoena, search warrant, court order, or other lawful request from a government authority. This includes requests issued under the U.S. Stored Communications Act as amended by the CLOUD Act (see Section 7.2 below).
National security requests: In response to National Security Letters (NSLs) or orders issued under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), to the extent permitted and required by law. We may be prohibited from disclosing the existence of such requests.
Safety and rights protection: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Renkara, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case the acquiring entity will be bound by this Privacy Policy with respect to your data.

Our commitments regarding government data requests:

We review every government request for legal validity and sufficient scope before producing any data.
We challenge requests that we determine to be overly broad, legally deficient, or otherwise inappropriate, including by seeking to narrow the scope of the request or by filing a motion to quash where warranted.
We will notify affected users of a government data request before producing their data, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so (e.g., by a court-issued gag order or the terms of a National Security Letter). When a non-disclosure obligation expires, we will promptly notify the affected user.
We produce only the specific data responsive to a valid request — we do not provide bulk or indiscriminate access to our systems or databases.

We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. International Data Transfers

7.1 Transfer Mechanisms

Renkara is based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States (including in the EEA or UK), your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We protect international transfers of personal data using the following safeguards:

Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): We use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (as supplemented where required) for transfers of personal data from the EEA to the United States.
UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA): For transfers from the UK, we use the UK Addendum to the EU SCCs or the UK IDTA as appropriate.
Supplementary measures: We implement the additional technical and organizational measures described in Section 7.3 to ensure an adequate level of protection for your data.

7.2 U.S. CLOUD Act Disclosure

Renkara is a United States corporation. As such, Renkara and its U.S.-based sub-processors (including Amazon Web Services and Twilio/SendGrid) are subject to the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act (CLOUD Act), enacted in 2018 as an amendment to the U.S. Stored Communications Act (18 U.S.C. § 2713).

What this means for your data:

Under the CLOUD Act, U.S. law enforcement authorities may compel Renkara or its U.S.-based sub-processors to produce user data in response to a valid warrant, subpoena, or court order, regardless of whether the data is stored inside or outside the United States.
This means that even if your data is physically stored in a data center located in the European Union or another jurisdiction, it may still be subject to disclosure under U.S. legal process.
The CLOUD Act applies to the content of communications and stored data, as well as to non-content metadata (e.g., subscriber information, session records, IP addresses).

Our position and safeguards:

We will not voluntarily disclose user data to any government authority absent a valid and binding legal process.
We evaluate all U.S. government data requests against applicable law, including by assessing whether the request conflicts with the laws of the country where the data subject resides (including GDPR). The CLOUD Act provides a mechanism for providers to challenge requests that create such conflicts, and we will invoke that mechanism where appropriate.
We maintain the commitments described in Section 6.2 regarding review, challenge, and notification of government data requests.

For EEA and UK users: We recognize that the CLOUD Act was identified by the Court of Justice of the European Union (in Schrems II, Case C-311/18) as a factor relevant to the assessment of U.S. data protection standards. We address this through the supplementary measures described in Section 7.3, in accordance with the European Data Protection Board's recommendations on supplementary transfer measures (Recommendations 01/2020).

7.3 Supplementary Measures for International Transfers

In addition to the Standard Contractual Clauses, we implement the following supplementary technical and organizational measures to protect personal data transferred from the EEA/UK to the United States:

Technical measures:

Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Internal service-to-service communications within our infrastructure are also encrypted.
Encryption at rest: All personal data stored in our databases and cloud infrastructure is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption with keys managed through AWS Key Management Service (KMS). Encryption keys are access-controlled and rotated regularly.
Access controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a strict need-to-know basis. We use role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for all administrative access, and centralized credential management through AWS Secrets Manager.
Pseudonymization: Where technically feasible, we pseudonymize personal data so that it cannot be attributed to a specific individual without the use of additional information, which is kept separately and subject to additional access controls.

Organizational measures:

Government access assessment: We have conducted a transfer impact assessment evaluating the risk of government access to transferred data under U.S. law. This assessment considers the legal framework (including the CLOUD Act, FISA, and Executive Order 12333), the practical likelihood of access given the nature and volume of data we process, and the effectiveness of our technical measures.
Commitment to challenge: As described in Section 6.2, we will challenge government data requests that we assess to be overly broad, legally deficient, or in conflict with EU/UK data protection law.
User notification: We will notify affected data subjects of government access requests unless legally prohibited, and will seek to lift any non-disclosure obligations as soon as legally permissible.
Data minimization: We collect and retain only the personal data necessary for the purposes described in this policy (see Section 8), reducing the volume of data potentially subject to government access.
Sub-processor oversight: Our Data Processing Agreements with sub-processors require them to implement equivalent technical and organizational measures and to notify us promptly of any government data requests they receive relating to our users' data.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Specific retention periods are:

When the retention period expires, we securely delete or anonymize the data. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Sections 9 and 10).

9. Your Rights Under GDPR (EEA and UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR:

Right of Access (Art. 15): You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to Erasure (Art. 17): You may request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to certain legal exceptions.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): You may request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV), and have it transmitted to another controller.
Right to Restrict Processing (Art. 18): You may request that we limit the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
Right to Object (Art. 21): You may object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes. Where you object to direct marketing, we will stop processing immediately.
Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7(3)): Where we process your data based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

We will respond to all rights requests within 30 days. In complex cases, we may extend this period by an additional 60 days, and we will inform you of any such extension.

10. Your Rights Under CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete: You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. You will not receive different pricing, a different quality of service, or be denied service for exercising your rights.

We do not collect: protected classification characteristics, biometric data, sensory data, professional/employment data, education data (beyond study progress within our app), or sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.

11. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

We take children's privacy seriously. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

Users under 13: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If a child under 13 wishes to use the Service, a parent or legal guardian must create the account and provide consent on the child's behalf.
Parental rights: Parents or guardians of children under 13 may:
- Review the personal information we have collected from their child
- Request deletion of their child's personal information
- Refuse further collection or use of their child's information
How to exercise these rights: Contact us at privacy@renkara.com with the subject line "COPPA Request." We will verify your identity as the child's parent or guardian before processing the request.
If we discover unauthorized collection: If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

For users in the EEA/UK, the minimum age for consent to data processing is 16 (or the lower age set by the relevant Member State, which may be as low as 13). Where the user is below the applicable age, we require consent from the holder of parental responsibility.

12. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

Passwords: All user passwords are hashed using bcrypt with an appropriate cost factor. We never store passwords in plaintext.
Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Encryption at rest: Data stored in our databases and cloud infrastructure is encrypted at rest using AWS-managed encryption keys.
Access controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. We use AWS Secrets Manager for secure credential storage.
Infrastructure security: Our infrastructure is hosted on AWS, which maintains SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other industry-standard security certifications.
Session management: Session tokens expire after 30 days and can be invalidated by signing out.
Monitoring: We monitor our systems for security incidents and unauthorized access attempts.

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms:

Supervisory authorities: We will notify the relevant data protection supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, in accordance with GDPR Article 33.
Affected individuals: Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay, in accordance with GDPR Article 34. Notification will be sent via email to your registered email address.
California residents: We will notify affected California residents as required by California Civil Code § 1798.82.
Content of notification: Breach notifications will describe the nature of the breach, the categories and approximate number of individuals affected, the likely consequences, and the measures taken or proposed to address the breach.

15. Large Language Model Subprocessors (Content Synthesis Only)

To generate and validate educational content (domain knowledge graphs, question banks, lessons, labs), we send domain and curriculum content only to the following providers. We do not send user account data, personally identifiable information, learning history, or telemetry to these providers.

Anthropic's API operates under a zero-retention policy for API inputs by default. OpenAI API inputs are not used for training per their API data usage policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services; we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

We do not send user prompts, chat sessions, notes, bookmarks, exam responses, or any other user-generated content to LLM providers. User-facing features in the Service are powered by deterministic, locally-hosted models or pre-generated content.

16. How to Exercise Your Rights

You may exercise any of your data protection rights by:

Verification: To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before processing any rights request. We may ask you to confirm information associated with your account.

Response time:

GDPR requests: within 30 days (extendable by 60 days for complex requests)
CCPA requests: within 45 days (extendable by an additional 45 days)
COPPA requests: as promptly as possible, typically within 10 business days

No fee: We will not charge a fee for processing your request, unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse the request.

Authorized agents: California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf. The agent must provide written authorization signed by you, and we may still verify your identity directly.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes:

We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
We will notify you by email and/or through a prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Where required by law, we will obtain your consent to material changes.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before the changes take effect.

AccelaStudy® AI Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AccelaStudy® AI application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Renkara Media Group ("Renkara," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

If you are under 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 13 may only use the Service if a parent or legal guardian creates the account and provides verifiable parental consent in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). See our Privacy Policy, Section 11, for details.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), the minimum age for consent to data processing may be up to 16, depending on your Member State. Where the user is below the applicable age, consent from the holder of parental responsibility is required.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You may register using:

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@renkara.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials.

4. Use of the Service

4.1 License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service
Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service's content without our express written permission
Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other harmful content
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

4.3 User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any study sets or custom content you create within the Service ("User Content"). By creating User Content, you grant Renkara a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content, and we will not use it for purposes unrelated to providing the Service without your consent.

4.4 Testimonials and Marketing Consent

If you submit a testimonial through the Service (for example, via your profile page), you may optionally grant Renkara permission to reproduce that testimonial in marketing materials by checking the "Allow Renkara to use this testimonial in marketing" box, or equivalent control, when you submit it ("Marketing Consent").

When you grant Marketing Consent, you grant Renkara a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to reproduce, display, adapt (including for length and clarity), and distribute the testimonial, together with your display name and avatar image as they appear in your profile at the time of display, in any medium and for any promotional or marketing purpose connected to the Service. You represent and warrant that the testimonial is your own original work and that you have the right to grant this licence.

Revocation: You may revoke Marketing Consent at any time by editing the testimonial to remove consent, by deleting the testimonial entirely, or by emailing legal@renkara.com. Revocation takes effect prospectively: we will remove the testimonial from materials we control promptly (typically within fourteen days), but revocation does not require us to recall copies of materials already distributed (for example, print collateral already in circulation, or social posts already reshared by third parties).

If you do not grant Marketing Consent, your testimonial is used solely within the Service and for internal product purposes; we will not publish, quote, or otherwise use it externally.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

5.1 In-App Purchases

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase, processed through the Apple App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

5.2 Pricing and Billing

Subscription prices are displayed in the Service before purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period. You can manage your subscription and cancel auto-renewal through your Apple ID account settings.

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests for App Store purchases must be directed to Apple, as they control the billing relationship. We do not process refunds directly.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, interfaces, code, and all content provided by Renkara (excluding User Content), is owned by Renkara and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

6.2 Trademarks

"AccelaStudy," "Renkara," and associated logos are trademarks of Renkara Media Group. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent.

7. Data Protection and Your Rights

We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy rights. This section summarizes key commitments; our Privacy Policy provides full details.

7.1 GDPR Data Subject Rights (EEA/UK Users)

If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
Port your data to another service in a structured, machine-readable format
Restrict processing in certain circumstances
Object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing
Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

We will respond to all rights requests within 30 days.

7.2 Right to Delete Your Account and Data

You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time by:

Using the account deletion feature in the app's settings, or
Emailing privacy@renkara.com

Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records related to purchases).

7.3 Data Portability

You may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV). To make a data portability request, contact privacy@renkara.com.

7.4 Consent Withdrawal

Where we process your data based on consent (such as marketing communications), you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You can withdraw consent by:

Clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email
Adjusting your preferences in the app settings
Emailing privacy@renkara.com

7.5 U.S. Law and Government Access

The Service is operated from the United States by a U.S.-incorporated entity. As such, Renkara and its U.S.-based infrastructure providers are subject to U.S. law, including the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act (CLOUD Act), the Stored Communications Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), and other laws that may require disclosure of user data to U.S. government authorities.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data may be accessed by U.S. authorities pursuant to valid legal process, regardless of where the data is physically stored. Our Privacy Policy, Sections 6.2 and 7.2, describe in detail our commitments regarding government data requests, including our policies on legal review, challenging overbroad requests, and user notification.

For users in the EEA and UK, our Privacy Policy, Section 7.3, describes the supplementary measures we implement to protect your data in light of these U.S. legal obligations.

7.6 Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we commit to:

Notifying the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach (per GDPR Article 33)
Notifying affected users without undue delay where the breach poses a high risk (per GDPR Article 34)
Notifying affected California residents as required under California Civil Code § 1798.82

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcomes from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RENKARA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).

These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

For EEA/UK users: Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable EU or UK law, including your right to a remedy for non-conforming digital content or services under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or the EU Digital Content Directive.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Renkara, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Any User Content you create or submit

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 For Users in the United States

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Arbitration: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Texas. You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AGREE TO WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST RENKARA.

Small Claims Exception: Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdictional amount.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of the arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@renkara.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Texas.

11.2 For Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK:

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of your country of habitual residence, in addition to mandatory provisions of EU/UK law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the UK GDPR.
The arbitration clause in Section 11.1 does not apply to you to the extent it conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
You may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of habitual residence or in the courts of Texas, at your choice.
You retain all mandatory consumer rights granted by the laws of your jurisdiction, and nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr to resolve disputes.

11.3 For Users in Other Jurisdictions

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, except to the extent that mandatory local laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise. The arbitration provisions of Section 11.1 apply, except where prohibited by your local law.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the app settings or by emailing support@renkara.com. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through your Apple ID account settings before deleting your account.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

You breach these Terms
Your use of the Service poses a security risk or legal liability
We are required to do so by law
We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)

Before terminating your account for a breach, we will provide you with notice and an opportunity to cure the breach where practicable, unless the breach poses an immediate risk to the Service or other users.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, Section 8 (Data Retention). You may request a copy of your data before account deletion (see Section 7.3).

13. Modifications to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:

We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.
We will notify you by email and/or through a prominent notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent to material changes.

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you may delete your account before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Renkara regarding the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

14.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, or failures of third-party services.
